Primers

In this module, we provide primers on the following topics: Out of Habitat, Euthanasia, Large Cetacean Stranding Response, and Mass Strandings.

The purpose of these primers is to provide the trainer an overview of other extenuating circumstances during a stranding event. Responding to stranded large cetaceans, whether alive or dead provide their own unique set of challenges. The primer provides a comprehensive overview of best practices and resources needed to deal with large whale strandings. In both mass strandings and large cetacean strandings, there are always common critical information that can be collected.
